Blue Bombers' Janarion Grant Out With Ankle Injury
Grant has been placed on the six-game injured list.
The dynamic kick returner has been working his way back from an ankle injury that kept him out of the last 10 Winnipeg Blue Bombers games.
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will be without receiver/returner Janarion Grant this week due to an ankle injury. Grant, who has been dealing with the injury since the preseason, has been placed on the six-game injured list.
The Blue Bombers have struggled in the return game this season, averaging just 18.5 yards per return. Grant is one of the most dynamic returners in the CFL, so his absence will be a big blow.
In five games this season, Grant has returned 12 punts for 150 yards and one touchdown. He has also returned five kickoffs for 133 yards.
The Blue Bombers will hope to have Grant back in the lineup soon, but for now, they will have to find someone else to fill his void in the return game.
The Blue Bombers will take on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
