The campaign, held under the slogan "Our Land," will highlight the importance of restoring degraded land and combating desertification and drought.
Saudi Arabia will play a leading role in shaping the global conversation around these issues. The Kingdom has already made significant progress in land restoration, including ambitious tree-planting initiatives and efforts to combat desertification. Hosting World Environment Day 2024 will provide a platform to showcase these efforts and inspire other countries to take action.
As part of the campaign, the World Environment Day global celebrations will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 5th.
