Target Return Policy Without Receipt

Overview

Target allows customers to return items without a receipt, but there are certain limitations and restrictions in place to prevent fraud and abuse.

Return Limits

Without a receipt, Target limits the total amount of merchandise that can be returned to $150 per calendar year. This limit applies to all Target stores and is tracked based on your photo ID and payment methods used.

Receipt Lookup

If you paid for your purchase with a card associated with your Target account, you can access your receipt online or in the Target app. You can also bring the return barcode from your packing slip or order details page to Guest Services.

Verification Methods

If you don't have a receipt, Target may attempt to verify your purchase using the following methods: * Inserting the original payment card used * Scanning your photo ID * Looking up the receipt based on store and online purchase history

Refund Form

If you return an item without a receipt, you will typically receive a merchandise return card as a refund. This card can be used to purchase items at any Target store but cannot be used to buy gift cards, prepaid cards, alcohol, or Target Starbucks products.

Exceptions

Certain items cannot be returned without a receipt, including: * Opened or damaged items * Items not in new condition * Trading cards and accessories * Items purchased with an EBT card online * Items issued via third-party delivery services
